As we approach the highly anticipated solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, we want to ensure that our community is both excited and prepared for this remarkable event. Our school schedules will remain unchanged; all schools will operate on their traditional timetable.
RMS students in the STEM Entrepreneurship class had the opportunity to attend and compete in the 7th Annual Bloomsburg University Husky Dog Pound Competition. The business competition was open to middle and high schools.

RMS Administrators hosted parents of 5th graders from all 3 elementary schools on March 20.
Radnor Middle School's 7th annual Mini-THON event generated over $147,000. More than 500 students and staff members danced from late afternoon into the night to celebrate their efforts in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Radnor Middle School eighth graders Natalie Myers, Ella Starzyk, Margaret Gord, and Kate Mallory have been recognized as a 2023 Promising Young Writer by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), each achieving the distinction of Superior.
Radnor Middle School has been recognized by Common Sense, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of media and technology, as a Common Sense School. 
Congratulations to our Radnor Middle School historians! RMS sent 11 projects (13 students) to this year's State National History Day Contest held in Scranton on April 22 and 23.
The School Board approved an updated 2022-23 calendar at the April Board Business Meeting, removing unused emergency snow days and adjusting the last day of school for 2022-23.
Radnor Middle School hosted a Rising 6th Grade Parent Night on Mar. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the RMS Auditorium. Learn more about the school.
Radnor Middle School's 6th annual Mini-THON event generated over $119,000 setting a new school fundraising record and shattering this year’s goal by over $25,000.

Beginning Oct. 1, breakfast will be free for all students following a Sept. 9 announcement from Gov. Wolf that the state would be funding the meal for the remainder of the school year.

Rising 9th-grader Meredith Gelles is the first RTSD student to be named a winner in the NHD national contest, taking first place in the junior individual website category.
Due to the expiration of the USDA waivers on June 30, 2022, meals will no longer be free to all students during the 2022-23 school year. The application for free and reduced cost meals is available online.
Thirty-two retiring employees were honored for their 663 combined years of service to Radnor students during the June 28 Board Business Meeting.
Summer Reading is required for students entering grades 6-12 and recommended for grades K-5. Assignments may be required for some courses.

The 8th-grader won the Geographic Bee final on March 3. This marks his second title, having previously won the competition as a 6th-grader in January 2020.

The 7th-grade band, 8th-grade band, and 7th- and 8th-grade jazz band performed on December 16 in the RMS auditorium. The concert marked the first in-person public performance for RMS band groups since December 2019.

We are proud to present the completely redesigned and reorganized RTSD.org. Responding to feedback from families, students and staff, the new site's modernized design prioritizes ease of access to in-demand information in a visually appealing format. The last site refresh took place in Feb. 2015.

The top-seeded Radnor team finished an historic 2021 season by making the State Championship in Hershey on November 20. The state appearance followed the team's first District Championship since 2000.

Board-approved on Dec. 21, the calendar includes five, two-hour late starts to the school day to provide for professional development and maintains a full Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break and Spring Break.

Radnor Model UN earned the top team recognition, as well as seven other awards, at the Model United Nations Conference in New Brunswick, NJ in late November, the team's first in-person competition in nearly two years.

The Class of 2022 honored a beloved classmate by selecting Pete, who was born with spinal muscular atrophy and passed away in 2018 while a student at RMS. He would've been a senior this year. Lucy is Pete's twin sister.

With face masks now required for all RTSD students, staff, and visitors when indoors, gaiter-style masks are again no longer permitted as an acceptable form of mask. This adheres to CDC guidance first announced in a message and followed by the district in February 2021.
