Developing a Long-Term Facilities Plan, Seeking Your Feedback
Dear RTSD Community,
I wanted to keep you informed on our progress toward developing a comprehensive long-term plan to address facilities needs at our schools and buildings.
The development of this long-term facilities plan was approved by our School Board as a district initiative in September 2019. Instrumental to achieving this initiative, in February 2020, the Board approved Breslin Architects to conduct a Feasibility Study to evaluate our programming needs, facility and site needs, enrollment needs, and the financial impact of these needs for our five schools and administration building.
At last night's Facilities Committee meeting (Feb. 8), a presentation given by district administration and a representative from Breslin Architects provided an update on this process. You can view the presentation here and the video of the meeting here. You can view the project webpage here.
The next step in this process is to review the results of the Feasibility Study in more detail with Radnor community members and to gather your feedback and suggestions. These community forums, currently planned for in-person with a virtual attendance option, will be held on Thursday, March 3 at Radnor Elementary School; Monday, March 7 at Ithan Elementary School; and Wednesday, March 16 at Wayne Elementary School, all from 6:30-8 p.m. You can register here. Each event will feature the same information to allow community members to attend any event that is convenient.
We look forward to working collaboratively with all our valued stakeholders to shape the future of Radnor schools for the benefit of all our students.
