Message from Principal Wiedlich: Welcome Back, RMS!

Greetings Radnor Middle School Community!

It is with great excitement that we begin the 2022-23 school year! As your principal, it is important to me that every person who enters our building is excited to be here! This attitude will enable us to meet the challenges of academic rigor in a positive and nurturing environment, and one which embraces the belief that Radnor Middle School is a place where our students and staff will be Striving for Excellence.

Along with the devoted faculty and support staff of Radnor Middle School, I pledge to continue the legacy of success established by Radnor Township School District and Radnor Middle School. The school year promises to be filled with rigorous learning opportunities for all of our students, as we strive to find ways to be better than ever before.

Our staff of highly qualified professional educators and support personnel are committed to affording our students with authentic and rigorous experiences grounded in the development of the whole child. Relationship-building and real-world connections will be emphasized and cultivated during academic, co-curricular and extracurricular experiences.

Motivation and success are what drive individuals in any profession. In the school setting, it is paramount that we celebrate the success of our students, both inside and outside of the classroom.

In addition to the valuable information and news shared on our school webpage and school district media platforms, I invite you to help us spotlight our students’ outstanding achievements occurring inside and outside of the brick and mortar of RMS. Use the hashtag #rmsnation on our Twitter account @radnorms and we will all be able to celebrate the great happenings in our school building, on stages, athletic fields, and academic venues.

Let’s continue to work in partnership to seize opportunities in all facets of our RMS students’ lives and proudly share the responsibility for our students’ successes.

As a reminder, the first day of school is Tuesday, September 6. Please note that all 6th-graders should arrive at the scheduled RMS start time of 7:50 a.m. All 7th- and 8th-graders should report to RMS two hours later, at 9:50 a.m. Our transportation department will have buses run twice that morning. Our 6th grade students will be picked up at the normally scheduled time, and 7th and 8th grade students will be picked up two hours after the normally scheduled time.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns throughout the school year.

As we are Striving for Excellence, our staff looks forward to working with you to help each student meet and exceed their goals, and have a successful school year!

With Best Regards,

Dr. David M. Wiedlich
